The Magical Land – Part 1

     Once upon a time, there lived four good friends who were Damon, Howard, Lucy and Lily.  One day, it was their friend’s birthday.  In order to give him a surprise, they went to Lucy’s home and planned to bake a cake to celebrate it.

While the two girls were kneading the dough, the boys went to the kitchen to get the cream and butter for the girls. The moment when they opened the fridge, suddenly a beam of light flashed.  They were shocked.

They stretched their hands to touch the light. To their surprise, they found that they could reach an unlimited space. Out of curiosity, they went inside and discovered that there was another world inside.

What they saw in front of their eyes was a green forest. There were strange trees of different species. They were in different height – some were very tall whereas some were shorter than a human being. The leaves were also in different shapes and colours…  

A Missing Balloon!

     One day, Mary was very bored because she was alone at home. To amuse herself, she blew up a balloon and drew a man’s face on it. She felt satisfied with her drawing.

     Suddenly, she remembered her best friend.  Therefore, she went out to find her so that they could play with the balloon together. While they were chatting happily, the balloon slipped out of her hand. They tried to catch it back but they failed to do so.  Seeing that the balloon was being blown away, they felt disappointed .

     The balloon floated into the air and was slowly moving up until it stopped outside the window of a flat. The woman inside the flat was shocked while she was holding a box of eggs. All of the eggs fell onto the floor and broke. She mistakenly thought that the balloon was a thief so she called the police at once.

     Soon, the policeman came, but he couldn’t see anyone outside the window. Thinking that the woman was making fun on him, the policeman was angry.

     The woman felt embarrassed and apologized to the policeman.  Not knowing what had happened, the woman was puzzled!

Did anyone know where the balloon had gone??

A Smart Girl Solved a Burglary

      One day, Mary was walking along the street because she wanted to meet her friends in a nearby park.  On her way, suddenly she saw a man trying to climb into a house through the window. Mary suspected that the man was a robber because he acted suspiciously.

     In order to help the house owner, she decided to call the police. “Sir, I see a suspicious man getting into someone’s house. Here is 10, Happy Street,” Mary said nervously.

“What’s your number?” asked the policeman.

     Mary gave the details to the policeman and hung up the phone. Mary stayed there and observed what was going on.

Soon, the policemen came and caught the thief red-handed. At once, the thief was sent to the police station.

The policemen praised Mary for being a brave and helpful girl. Mary was very proud of herself.
